Musée Wellington - Expo 1815
The Wellington Museum: Discover the new scenography
On the edge of the Forêt de Soignes, this old building dating from 1705 was chosen to house various headquarters. It was here that the Duke of Wellington established his headquarters on 17 June 1815, before facing Napoleon. It was here that he wrote his victory report, giving the famous battle its name of "Waterloo". Using engravings, weapons and documents, the Wellington Museum retraces the political context of Europe in 1815.
